Magic Pocket

Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026

Magic Pocket is built so the things you save stay yours. There is no account, what you save is processed on your device, and nothing you save is ever sent to us.

Who we are

Magic Pocket is made by Rehaan Rasheed, an independent developer. In this policy “we” and “us” mean the developer, and “you” means anyone using the app. You can reach us at rehaancubes@gmail.com.

What stays on your device

Everything you save, whether notes, links, photos, documents or screenshots, is stored in the app on your device. The app works on it there, using Apple’s on-device frameworks:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see what you save.

iCloud sync

If iCloud is turned on for your Apple Account, your Pocket syncs between your devices through your own private iCloud database. Apple stores it in your iCloud storage under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We cannot access it.

Search on your device

So you can find a saved thing from your device’s own search (Spotlight), the app adds what you save to that search index: titles, summaries, text and the details it reads out, such as numbers and dates. The index is kept on your device by the operating system and is not sent to us or anyone else. It is removed when you delete the item or use Delete all Pocket data. Results stay searchable while the app lock is on; opening one still asks you to unlock.

Siri

When you ask Siri to search Magic Pocket, Siri passes what you said to the app, which searches for it on your device. The app does not give Siri the names or contents of the things you save. Siri itself, including how it handles your requests, is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Pocket Keyboard

The keyboard offers the text, links and details you’ve saved, and your saved photos and files. Tapping text types it into the app you’re using. Tapping a photo or file copies it to your clipboard for you to paste, which needs the keyboard’s Full Access; everything else works without it. Saved items remain available with the app’s Face ID or Touch ID lock on.

The keyboard does not read the surrounding conversation, does not keep what you type, and never sends anything over the network, with or without Full Access.

Ask Pocket on Mac

When you choose Ask Pocket from the macOS Services menu, Pocket receives only the text you selected. It searches your unlocked library on this Mac. A single exact match replaces your selection immediately; otherwise you choose a result from the picker. Templates ask for missing fields before you insert them. File and image results open in Pocket’s menu-bar panel. You can drag the original into another app or upload area. This action does not use your clipboard. These requests are not saved or sent to us, and Pocket does not read the rest of your document or conversation.

When the app goes online

The app only connects to the internet for these things:

What we don’t do

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may pass anonymous crash reports on to us. You can change this under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.

Permissions

The app asks for access only when you use a feature that needs it, and you can change your answer in your device’s settings at any time.

Your data, your choices

Children

Magic Pocket is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it here and in the app and change its effective date.
